Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CostObserver, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

CostObserver is a cloud cost observability platform operated by RagoTech that provides real-time visibility into cloud spending, resource utilization, security posture, and cost optimization opportunities across multiple cloud providers. We deliver SecFinOps insights by correlating cost data with security context.

3. Beta Service

CostObserver is currently in public beta. The service is provided "as is" and may contain bugs or limitations. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without notice.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

5. Cloud Account Access

By connecting your cloud provider accounts, you grant us read-only access to your cost, usage, and resource metadata. You represent that you have the authority to grant such access. We will:

  • Only access data necessary to provide our services
  • Use read-only access credentials
  • Not modify or delete any of your cloud resources

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the platform
  • Share your account with others
  • Use the service to compete with us

7. Intellectual Property

CostObserver and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by RagoTech and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your data.

8. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. We implement security measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Fees and Payment

During the beta period, CostObserver is free to use. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future with advance notice.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@costobserver.com.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

SECURITY OBSERVABILITY DISCLAIMER: COSTOBSERVER IS AN OBSERVABILITY AND MONITORING TOOL, NOT A SECURITY DEFENSE SYSTEM. WE PROVIDE VISIBILITY INTO SECURITY POSTURE AND COST IMPLICATIONS BUT DO NOT PREVENT, BLOCK, OR REMEDIATE SECURITY THREATS. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING APPROPRIATE SECURITY CONTROLS IN YOUR CLOUD ENVIRONMENT.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RAGOTECH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RagoTech from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
